Great trip, even better people
These folks were fantastic start to finish. I cannot recommend Norway Bike Experience highly enough. From helping us choose the right trip to providing plentiful coffee, chocolate, and pastries during the trip, they were absolutely wonderful. Norway Bike Experience was outstanding!
Biking in Norway was on our bucket list and this inaugural trip did not disappoint. We enjoyed six days of great riding in mid June. The lovely inns and hotels were a perfect complement to our tour. The roads were beautiful and in wonderful condition not to mention fairly quiet. Our trip was guided by Helmer who knew the roads well and John took care of us at stops along the way with the team car and espressos! We rented bikes from them and the setup process was very professional at the Velodrome in Stavanger. We loved the climb up the Lysebotn and the ferry ride to get to it sailing through the fjords. Bikes and cider in Stavander
Sept 2025 We hired 12 bikes from Norway Bike Experience for a day trip which ended with a tasting experience at the applefarm at Sandalen gård in Randaberg. The team was very accommodating and suggested several routes for our self-guided trip (shorter routes for unpredictable weather, longer routes for sunshine). The team helped with bike selection and pickup in Stavanger centrum, and collected the bikes at the farm, where we had a lovly time with cider tasting and touring the production site.

Lysefjord to sandes
Booking a bike hire from Sydney may have been fraught with problems. These guys sorted everything including a brand new Trek Madonne. The mechanic followed my dimensions perfectly which resulted in a very enjoyable 103km/1700m elevation without incident. Great service
My son aged 15 and I arranged a bike trip with Norway Bike Experience - just one day of cycling 70km from Bryne to Egersund on electric bikes. We were collected from our hotel in the morning, driven to Bryne where we collected the bikes, cycled the coastal route, left the bikes at Egersund and took the train to Stavanger where our bags were waiting for us. The whole day was completely smooth, having the lift at the beginning of the day and baggage transfer made it so straightforward and we really enjoyed the route. Communication from Roy was excellent and I would recommend Norway Bike Experience to anyone looking to arrange something similar, Roy suggested the itinerary and it worked perfectly for us.

Great, flexible tour - excellent rental quality
I went on their Lysebotn explorer tour - self guided. It was a really positive experience: the rental bikes were basically new, perfectly serviced (even not-standard requests fulfilled, like mounting SPD pedals on a road bike) and provided with all other riding essentials. The route is thoughtfully designed with a lot of highlights along the way, the accommodations picked were all a nice addition (dinners were always something to look forward to) and the baggage carrying service is a nice plus especially with the uncertain Norwegian weather. The staff was also very helpful and available to make this happen and tweak the standard tour despite short notice in my booking. Most riding days are a bit on the short-ish side for serious cyclists - this is not necessarily a drawback: it can be great if you like to add a bit of hiking to your riding day, or like to explore a little bit more on your own - just something to be aware of.

Highly Recommend Norway Bike Experience
Can't say enough great things about my four days riding with Norway Bike Experience in late May - early June 2025 in coordination with the Tour of Norway. Guides, routes, "locals" who joined us, the scenery, and several Tour of Norway viewings were all incredible - the most epic being the Lysebotn climb but there were too many highlights to list. Great Road Bike Rental
Efficient Road Bike Rental. 4 day rental of Ridley SLiC - Bike was ready and in good condition on arrival. Easy pick up. Hotel didn’t have suitable storage so returned back to HQ daily where bike stored and ready again next day. Team were very helpful and sorted a locker for me to use throughout too. Deposit taken and returned - if I could suggest an improvement it would be to put a hold on card instead of actually taking payment, even though deposit returned immediately it cost extra than the original payment because the FX rate is poorer in the ‘credit’ direction. As I returned the bike daily I was surprised that it wasn’t given a clean up and sort daily due to the rubbish weather but can’t complain given it wouldn’t normally be returned to the base daily, perhaps an opportunity to improve. Great experience mind you and staff at the arena great at offering advice, just shame they couldn’t have sorted the weather 😂

En fantastisk opplevelse på sykkel!
Her blir man tatt vare på fra start til slutt, med en hyggelig velkomst, koselige folk og gode anbefalinger om ulike områder man kan besøke. Det er fine, slitesterke og komfortable sykler fra Ridley. Jeg syklet fra Stavanger og opp til Oltedal med fantastiske utsikter hele veien. Alle områdene omkring og mulighetene for hvor du kan sykle, er bare next level. Dette er Norge på sitt beste, og om du ikke har syklet i omegn av Stavanger og Ålgård, så anbefales det på det sterkeste. Den nye sykkelstamvegen i Stavanger gjør det enkelt å komme deg til og fra byen, og jeg må si at jeg er veldig fornøyd med hvordan bilene behandlet meg på veien oppover fjellene. Takk Norway Bike Experience, for super service, en god sykkel og en fantastisk turopplevelse!
