About us

Norway Bike Experience is a provider of all cycling services –  in and around the Stavanger Region.

Our history

Norway Bike Experience was started in 2018, but due to the Covid 19 pandemic we never got started with anything other than bike rental. In 2022, Folkehallene IKS entered the ownership side together with Fjords Cycling AS. Many plans were made and there were good ambitions, but the company needed more muscle and finances, among other things, to employ a person who could work with the development of the company full-time.

In the autumn of 2023, we decided to bring in more owners and then Kronen Gaard Hotell and Grand Hotel Egersund came on board and joined the ownership side.

Our owners

Guide

Fredrik has been an active cyclist all his life and has spent thousands of hours on the bicycle and many of those hours are on the same routes that Norway Bike Experience uses. Fredrik started his professional career in 2011. He started for Team Østerhus – Ridley and later he visited the French team “Delko Marseille Provence KTM” before retiring as a professional cyclist in 2018 when he was in the team “Coop – Repsol”.

Fredrik still has great passion for cycling and he now works as race leader for the Tour of Norway cycle race when he is not busy guiding cycle tours for Norway Bike Experience. Fredrik is a humored guy who loves to show off himself, so it's never boring with him on tour!

Guide

Kjetil has been passionate about cycling throughout his adult life, both in the woods and on the road. As a training motivator in one of Stavanger's local cycling clubs, he has extensive experience leading groups all over Rogaland.

Kjetil has a professional background as a photographer, and that background comes in handy when we are out on a trip and the memories need to be documented and immortalized through the lens. In addition, Kjetil is a skilled mechanic, so we never have to worry about mechanical problems when he is on a trip.
