NEW! Route library – Show us your favourite route

Bikers on the road in the Stavanger region
Every local rider knows the back roads, the best routes for windy days, and the top spots for a coffee break. Now it's time to share that insider knowledge with riders visiting the region.

Every local rider knows the back roads, the best routes for windy days, and the top spots for a coffee break. Now it’s time to share that insider knowledge with riders visiting the region.

Norway Bike Experience has just launched its route library, and we need your help to populate it.

What is the route library?

“We believe Rogaland is the best place in the world for cycling,” says Roy Hegreberg, manager of Norway Bike Experience. “Choosing the right route is crucial for riders coming here to experience the region from the seat of their bike. We’ve just launched the route library on our site. Routes can be filtered by length, elevation, and type, and it’s easy to transfer the route to your device.”

So you want my routes?

Yes, we do! Where do you ride for a short afternoon spin? What’s your favorite uphill stretch? Do you have a go-to 100K route? Where are the bike-friendly places to stop for coffee? We want to share the knowledge of the locals as a welcome and gesture to fellow cyclists new to our roads. These are the things we all want to know when riding in new destinations.

What’s in it for me?

Primarily, you get to share the love and promote bicycle riding in Rogaland. All routes contributed will be linked to your Strava profile if you have one. New friends and eternal kudos could be coming your way.

Plus, you get to name the route 😊

How do I do it?

It’s easy. Make sure you have a GPX export of your route, and go to this page to send it to us. Here, you can give your route a name, add a short description, and pictures. The route should have a starting point somewhere in Rogaland.

Thanks!
