Upon your arrival at Sola Airport, Sandnes/Stavanger train station, or Risavika Ferry terminal, our team will arrange for your transportation to Kronen Gaard Hotel.

At Kronen Gaard, you'll gather to meet your guides and test out the equipment for the upcoming five days. To ensure a smooth start, a brief test-ride will be organized in the afternoon, ensuring everything is in order for an early departure the following day.

As the evening sets in, we'll host a warm welcome dinner, providing the perfect opportunity for introductions and bonding.

Day 1 – Welcome to the Fjords

Our day begins with a leisurely ride along scenic routes from Kronen Gaard, passing by tranquil lakes and picturesque farmlands. As we approach Lysefjorden, the road unfolds before us, leading us to Lauvik where we board a ferry for an unforgettable journey through Lysefjorden. Along the way, keep an eye out for seals basking in the sun along the rugged coastline, with iconic landmarks such as Pulpit Rock, Flørli, and Kjerag towering above.

Upon our arrival in Lysebotn at 12:40, a mere 2km of flat terrain awaits before we tackle the exhilarating Lysebotn climb, renowned for its 27 hairpin turns ascending from sea level to 898 meters over 10 kilometers. A well-deserved coffee break awaits us at Kjerag Cafe as we soak in the breathtaking views.

Continuing our ascent, we traverse the mountaintop for the next 10 kilometers, reaching the pinnacle at 931 meters above sea level. Descending from these lofty heights, we're greeted by charming Norwegian cabins, grazing sheep, and the stunning mountain vistas of Ådneram Valley.

Our journey leads us to Fidjeland, where a brief 2km climb brings us to Sirdal Høyfjellshotell, an alpine resort nestled amidst pristine landscapes. Here, you can relax and rejuvenate with a welcome snack, followed by a refreshing shower in the hotel's pool and sauna facilities.

As the evening sets in, we gather for a delicious dinner and share captivating photos from the day's adventures. Additionally, we offer a range of optional activities, including husky driving, mountain walks, a dining experience at Slottet, or a round of mountain golfing.

Day 2 – From the mountain to the North Sea

Today marks our longest journey, yet the rewards are plentiful as we effortlessly reclaim the elevation gained yesterday. Setting out from Sirdal Høyfjellshotell, we traverse gentle roads, passing through the serene village of Sinnes before encountering mild ascents leading us into the picturesque valley called Hunnedalen. Descending into Byrkjedal, we pause for a delightful lunch at Byrkjedalstunet—an esteemed local attraction renowned for its historic candle factory and authentic Norwegian architecture.

Continuing our route, we navigate through the rugged terrain of Gloppedalsura, Europe's largest scree, where colossal boulders from ancient landslides rest amidst a landscape shaped by glacial activity thousands of years ago. Enveloped by majestic mountains and serene lakes, the scenery is nothing short of breathtaking. Our descent brings us to Vikeså, tracing the path of the river Tengs as we make our way to Egersund, our resting place for the next two nights at the esteemed Grand Hotel Egersund.

In the evening, we gather for a delightful dinner, accompanied by a selection of captivating photos from the day's adventures. We also offer recommendations for optional activities, including a hike to Trollpikken, a visit to the Fayancemuseum, or a tour of Berentsens Brewery—established in 1895—where you can savor locally crafted beer, whisky, gin, or aquavit.

Day 3 – Roundtrip in the Magma UNESCO Geopark

Today, we embark on a captivating round trip through the unique landscapes of the Magma UNESCO Geopark, tracing our route along the southern coast. After an initial 15-kilometer stretch, we veer onto smaller roads, immersing ourselves in the charming villages of Nesvåg and Rekefjord. Our journey then leads us to Songdalsstranda, a historic charging station from the sailing ship era, boasting protected buildings and cultural landscapes—a testament to Norway's rich heritage.

Continuing our exploration, we venture deeper into the countryside, encountering a diverse array of landscapes and gentle climbs along secluded roads. Our return journey takes us back to the picturesque town of Egersund, where the comforts of Grand Hotel Egersund await.

For those seeking further adventure, an optional ride to Jøssingfjord is available after our stop in Songdalsstranda. Here, you'll marvel at Helleren and conquer the scenic climb of Jøssingfjord.

As evening falls, we gather for a delightful dinner, accompanied by a selection of captivating photos from the day's excursion. Additionally, we offer a range of optional activities, including a hike to Trollpikken, a visit to the Fayancemuseum, or a tour of Berentsens Brewery—established in 1895—where you can savor locally crafted beer, whisky, gin, or aquavit.

Day 4 – The North sea route

Today, our journey takes us northward along the captivating coastline from Egersund, passing through the picturesque villages of Hellvik, Sirevåg, and Brusand. This stretch of coastline is truly unique, boasting landscapes unlike any other in the country.

Our first stop is at the renowned art and culture center, Hå Gamle Prestegard, a former vicarage that is a must-visit destination while exploring Jæren. Here, we'll enjoy a delicious lunch amidst the serene surroundings.

Continuing our coastal route towards Sola, we'll be treated to Norway's longest white beaches and expansive flatland areas adorned with farms—a true culinary treasure trove. Hopefully, the wind will be at our backs as we make our way to Sola, although the route remains manageable even if it presents a challenge with minimal hills.

Our accommodation for the night is the historic Sola Strand Hotel with its inviting spa facilities, offering the perfect opportunity to unwind and relax.

As the evening approaches, we'll come together for a delightful dinner, accompanied by a collection of photos capturing the day's highlights. Additionally, we offer a range of optional activities, including hiking along Sola Beach or trying your hand at kiteboarding, surfing, kayaking, or stand-up paddleboarding for an exhilarating seaside adventure.

Today's journey takes us on a fascinating exploration of the Stavanger area, showcasing its rich history and vibrant business sector. Upon arrival in Stavanger, we have the option to explore the city's well-developed cycling infrastructure, providing an excellent opportunity to discover key landmarks such as Jåttå and Harfsfjord. Here, we'll encounter the iconic Sword in the Rock monument, symbolizing the historic Viking battle that unified Norway into one kingdom.

Stavanger's prominence in hosting professional cycling races over the past decade is evident as we traverse challenging terrain, including the renowned Pigg hill and the summit of Stavanger at Ullandhaug. The panoramic views from these elevated points offer a stunning perspective of the city and its surroundings.
